WHAT YOU'LL DO

Using a risk-based approach, the BaaS Program Risk & Control Manager oversees a team and works in collaboration with internal SMEs and Partners to ensure risks and controls are appropriated addressed and tested in Partner required audits, including scoping review, draft and final report review, and remediation efforts meet all program requirements.


Requirements

HOW YOU'LL DO IT

  • Work with Senior Leadership on ongoing development of processes to enhance BaaS Risk and Controls Program
  • Manage BaaS Risk and Controls team to ensure appropriate support of Partners and the BaaS Risk and Controls Program.
  • Work with Senior Leadership to create and maintain Partner Audit Risk assessments, focusing on key risks of the Partner and BaaS services.
  • Facilitate BaaS required audits with external audit firms, Fintech Partners and Internal Audit, as needed.
  • Coordinate scheduling audits with audit firms and Fintech partners to ensure timely engagement and completion.
  • Partner with internal Subject Matter Experts to ensure Partner Audits address key risk to the BaaS program.
  • Review and update audit scopes for all Partner required audits, including BSA, General Compliance, IT General Controls, IT Security Assessments, Deposit and Lending Compliance, and Operational audits.
  • Review Partner engagement letters and audit reports to ensure scoping requirements were met and properly tested.
  • Review Partner audit findings and remediation plans to ensure key risks are addressed timely and appropriately.
  • Provide Partner audit status updates and deficiencies to management.
  • Perform analysis of audit risk trends across all Partners to identify improvement opportunities to the BaaS program.
  • Assist in oversight audits, as needed.
  • Responsible for management and supervision of department staff.
  • Mentor and coach department staff to further their skills and expertise.
  • Prepare summary reports of BaaS partner audit programs to the Board and/or Committees.
  • Maintain proficient knowledge of the rules and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), USA Patriot Act, OFAC, Regulation E, Truth in Savings Act and Unfair, Deceptive or Abusive Acts or Practices (UDAAP), Truth in Lending, Equal Credit Opportunity Act.
  • Follow and comply with all regulatory and compliance regulations.
  • Make recommendations to the CCBX Head of Risk when and where appropriate.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING 

  • Knowledge and understanding of FinTech with a strong technical background.
  • Communicates with impact, able to state risks and issues concisely and articulates impact in a structured manner both verbally and written.
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance and FFIEC requirements is desired.
  • Strong analytical skills necessary to prepare and/or review audit programs, work papers, and reports to determine adequacy.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management and employees.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines with minimal direct supervision.       
  • Attention to detail and accuracy a must.
  • Cooperative and professional attitude.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, affected departments and our BaaS Partners. 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related experience with 5+ years relevant bank Internal Audit experience.
  • Prior management experience preferred.
