We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented specialist in both litigation and contract review to join our enterprise risk management team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation support, possess exceptional organizational skills, and be capable of handling a diverse range of tasks in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will also have a background in examining, analyzing, and drafting contracts to ensure they align with company policies and legal requirements. The pay scale for this position is $80K-$120K annually, based on qualifications and experience. Your Role
- Manage company’s claims, including contract claims and professional liability claims
- Interface with internal teams and insurance company in the review of claims
- Manage outside counsel including initial retention and compliance with internal billing and reporting guidelines
- Review and analyze case documents and evidence
- Draft and manage various compliance and reporting spreadsheets
- Review, analyze, and interpret contracts, agreements, and legal documents
- Draft and negotiate contract terms and conditions
- Ensure compliance with legal standards and company policies
- Identify and address potential risks and issues in contracts
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve contract-related issues
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required. Completion of an ABA-approved paralegal program preferred
- 5 plus years of experience, preferably as part of an in-house corporate legal team
- Proactive, highly organized, and detail-oriented individual with the ability to multi-task and consistently meet aggressive and time-sensitive deadlines
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to effectively work with various departments and levels within company
- Strong understanding of litigation and legal terminology
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal management tools (e.g., Legal Tracker, Relativity)
