SUMMARY: 

Part of the Pierre Fabre Pharmaceuticals (PFP) Global Technical Operations team, this role works to develop and improve cell therapy manufacturing processes.  The RA or Senior RA will participate in laboratory activities to support process development, product characterization and cell reagent production for PFP’s cytotoxic T cell products.  They will be responsible for cell culture, analytical cell reagent preparation, and stocking and maintaining the PD laboratories.  Under minimal supervision, the successful candidate is expected to assist in experiments, carefully document method and materials, and communicate findings.  The position is based out of our PD lab at the Fitzsimons Innovation Campus.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Contributes to the production of a comprehensive library of antigen presenting cells as assay reagents.
  • Sets up, monitors, samples and analyzes cell culture processes.
  • Assists in maintaining laboratory, monitoring lab inventory and ordering supplies.
  • Documents laboratory procedures and experiments with great attention to detail.
  • Provides support for the development of manufacturing processes for cell therapy products.
  • Assists in process development studies to develop a thorough understanding of operating and performance parameters (design space).

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant scientific discipline and 2+ years experience
  • Ability to follow laboratory procedures with attention to detail, and successfully execute experiments at the bench.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced small company environment with minimal direction and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain detailed lab execution records and perform data analysis.

Preferred

  • Experience with aseptic cell culture and cell-based assays.
  • Knowledge of primary human T cell function and biology space.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Subject to extended periods of sitting and standing, vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Work is generally performed in a wet laboratory, office or clinical environment.
