JOB DESCRIPTION
The Analyst Sales Ops role involves analyzing key operational metrics for the field sales team, tracking performance, and identifying opportunities to improve sales processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, experience with business process improvement, and proficiency in advanced data analysis tools.
Responsibility
- Analyze key operational metrics for the field sales team to uncover trends, identify opportunities, and flag risks and issues.
- Report on and analyze work group activities and performance.
- Track the performance of critical initiatives, providing insights that improve performance.
- Report performance on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
- Identify and execute opportunities for improved data and reporting by recognizing data sources, developing actions to access and analyze data, implementing and automating data reporting, generating reports, performing analysis and writing queries in SQL, and creating visualizations in Looker.
- Optimize sales territories based on geography, customer count, and sales opportunity.
- Set sales quotas based on past performance and market potential.
- Calculate commission and spiff payouts.
- Provide analyses to inform the design of the incentive compensation plan.
- Provide project management and leadership as needed.
- Report digital marketing results, enhancing the granularity of our reporting to quantify ROI by specific tactics.
- Maintain and enhance sales dashboards to provide reps and managers with actionable insights to grow volume.
- Support ad hoc analysis requests from sales and marketing.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to define key performance indicators and identify trends and opportunities.
- Work closely with the data management team to ensure data quality and consistency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Management, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of related experience preferred in Sales Operations, Business Analysis, or a Financial Analyst role; healthcare business experience is a plus.
- Superior analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail and strong business acumen.
- Ability to see the big picture and make quick correlations between data sets.
- Experience with business process improvement and working with others to implement change.
- Proficiency in technical systems and software, including advanced MS Excel skills, Looker, and SQL, with the ability to write scripts and queries in SQL and LookML.
Physical Requirements
Lifting Requirements – sedentary to light work or exerting 10 to 20 pounds of force frequently. Physical Requirements – stationary positioning, moving, operating, ascending/descending, communicating, and observing. Use of equipment and tools necessary to perform essential job functions. OSHA category III – normal routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluid, or tissue and as part of the employment, will not be called upon to perform or assist in emergency care or first aid.
