Job description

Location: Cary, NC

Description

We are seeking experienced Inside Sales Representatives with a background in the agriculture industry to join our dynamic team. This role will be part of a matrixed structure within our Sales and Customer Operations organizations. The position is fully remote and offers a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct outreach to previous customers with sales under $100,000 to retain and grow business.
  • Reengage previous customers who no longer have active orders.
  • Answer technical questions related to product specifics, leveraging your agriculture background.
  • Understand and manage the customer order process, handing off complex issues as needed.
  • Log every call and track customer interactions in Salesforce (SFDC), with a minimum of 25 outbound calls per day.
  • Generate leads and identify new business opportunities to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with a team of 60+ sales representatives in the USA/Canada and a global sales team.
  • Work with designated clients and prior companies to maintain and grow relationships.

Senior/Lead Role

  • Define workflows, scripts, and documentation standards for the team.
  • Lead by example and help shape the long-term strategy for the inside sales team.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in inside sales within the agriculture industry.
  • Strong understanding of agricultural products and the ability to answer technical questions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with customers and maintain long-term relationships.
  • Experience with Salesforce (SFDC) or similar CRM systems.
  • Self-assured and patient, with the ability to work with a tenured business group.
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.

  • Achieve revenue targets and find new business opportunities.
  • Incentives available for exceeding sales goals.

Additional Information

  • Fully remote position.
