Job description

THE ROLE: SENIOR GRAPHIC DESIGNER (Temporary Position)

The Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for executing and evolution of OLLY brand creative assets. You will champion the highest standards of design to ensure maximum impact working with team members and cross functional partners to create beautiful design solutions that deliver on business objectives outlined in project briefs. You get excited by the opportunity to develop assets that will live across Ecommerce channels, Olly.com, paid media, email, organic social, and in-store experiences. This role reports to the Design Director and is a temporary position for six months.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing fresh design concepts for: paid and branded media (static and motion), landing pages and PDPs, email (promo and consumer journey), in-store display, and organic social assets to support marketing campaigns and always-on business
  • Bring to life 360 campaigns by applying out-of-the-box thinking and creativity to solve complex design problems from concept to production based on brief objectives
  • Ensure brand consistency across all platforms while utilizing UX best practices throughout every consumer touchpoint
  • Work to develop strong cross-functional relationships with design team, copywriters and key cross functional partners resulting in creative that is insight-driven, actionable, and align with our business objectives
  • Partner with Creative Ops to manage projects and timelines effectively for on-time, on-brief delivery
  • Stay immersed in design trends of the competitive landscape, incorporating novel uses of color, type, composition, and animation into OLLY creative

CAPABILITIES + SKILLS REQUIRED

  • A strong and diverse portfolio demonstrating deep experience in best-in-class marketing design work across all channels (paid media, ecommerce, email, digital experiences, social channels, etc.)
  • 3-7 years experience as a savvy and strategic Visual Designer
  • Demonstrated experience as a talented designer and conceptual thinker
  • Expertise in digital design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, InVision, Figma, After Effects)
  • Keen ability to present user-focused design solutions and discuss creative work, providing clear rationale and insights
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Know how to read a brief and take ideas from concept to execution
  • Creative self-starter and ability to work independently

THE DETAILS

LOCATION: Remote, Pacific Time Zone

HOURS: 40 hours per week, 6 month duration

MANAGER: Design Director

The pay range for this position is $60-65/hour dependent on experience.
