The Demand Generation Manager will report to the VP of Marketing and lead demand generation efforts across SmartBug's digital commerce, integration, and web development portfolio. In this role, you will build and launch multi-channel campaigns that generate a qualified pipeline through strategic content, virtual events, and thought leadership initiatives. You will be responsible for translating SmartBug's technical expertise into compelling market narratives that drive measurable business outcomes.
As a Demand Generation Manager, you will be measured on:
Pipeline generation across service lines (e-commerce, integration, web development)
Campaign conversion rates and ROI
Virtual event, podcast and video engagement metrics
Content performance and attribution
Key Responsibilities: Market Strategy & Execution
Lead strategic market positioning across digital commerce, integration, and web development verticals
Develop comprehensive campaigns that showcase SmartBug's technical expertise
Create compelling thought leadership content that positions SmartBug as a market leader
Design and execute virtual events that generate qualified pipeline
Build relationships with technical decision-makers through strategic content initiatives
Maintain active presence on LinkedIn and YouTube creating regular thought leadership content around digital commerce, integration, and web development trends
Engage with industry conversations and build SmartBug's social presence through consistent, valuable content-sharing
Content & Campaign Development:
Design and host technical webinars targeting enterprise decision-makers
Create video content and podcasts that demonstrate SmartBug's capabilities
Develop case studies showcasing successful client implementations
Execute multi-channel campaigns leveraging platform assessments and technical audits
Build targeted nurture tracks based on technology stack and solution requirements
Platform & Industry Expertise:
Maintain deep understanding of e-commerce platforms (Shopify Plus, Adobe Commerce, WooCommerce)
Develop content showcasing integration value propositions across CRM, ERP, and commerce systems
Create campaigns highlighting WordPress, Craft CMS, and AI-powered web solutions
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies
Build thought leadership around digital transformation initiatives
Requirements:
Fluent in both English and French (Canadian French) with the ability to create, translate and present content in both languages
5+ years of demand generation experience
Demonstrated expertise with HubSpot CMS and Marketing Hub
Portfolio of video content and webinar recordings
Published case studies and technical content samples
Active LinkedIn presence in relevant technical communities
Strong presentation and communication skills
Experience running virtual events and technical demonstrations
Track record of pipeline generation through content-driven campaigns
Demonstrated experience with multiple GTM strategies beyond inbound, including paid media, partner marketing, event marketing, community building, and PR
Required Portfolio—Candidates must provide the following:

Published case studies showing storytelling capabilities
Content samples across multiple formats (written, video, webinar)
