Report Designer/Developer - OUAF (Philippines )

This is a full-time, salaried position for citizens and permanent residents of the Philippines. You must reside full-time in the Philippines and be authorized to work there without further relocation, documentation, or work visa. This is a remote, work-from-home role. Our registered office is located in Taguig (NCR). No overseas candidates will be considered. No sub-contractor, third-party, or agency candidates will be considered.

Job Summary

We seek a highly skilled and motivated Analytical Report Developer to join our team, specializing in the Utility and Municipal markets and Oracle OUAF development. This role is responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining analytical reporting solutions that address key business problems for Origin customers. The ideal candidate should have deep experience developing and maintaining SQL-derivative reporting systems with a strong understanding of Oracle Utility applications and Jaspersoft Reports. Further, the ideal candidate will have excellent technical and documentation skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.

Domain and Job Duties

Development Responsibilities

• Analytical report system development using existing reporting architecture.
• Develop reporting standards for performance, formatting and multi-source validation to ensure 100% reporting accuracy.
• Develop and maintain standard reports for Origin SmartCity applications suite, based upon an in-depth understanding of Meter to Cash business processes and report utility.
• Contribute training and best practice guidance for Client Success team use in training and supporting Origin SmartCity clients.
• Develop multisource, analytical report products for Origin SmartCity clients using aggregated data sets from various connected applications.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including design, coding, testing, and documentation.
• Clearly define and execute unit-test cases, documenting predicted vs. actual results.
• Provide ongoing support and assistance to other developers and team members.
• Provide user support during system testing and client testing phases.
• Write detailed design specifications based on solution blueprints.
• Identify and articulate report system and report design and performance risks.
• Develop prototypes and/or proof-of-concept applications.

Design Responsibilities

• Provide scoping, feasibility, and impact assessments.
• Document business processes and capture discovery session/workshop minutes related to analytical reporting.
• Utilize existing resources to produce designs, including developing multilayered reporting architectures for complex and time-variant reporting.
• Oversee project activities and guide technical designs and development processes.
• Provide recommendations for consolidated reporting from various sources (i.e., within the Origin SmartCity applications suite).

Quality Assurance

• Create a validation framework for all reports that provides certainty of report veracity in production.
• Develop exception handling and notification logic for report creation and rendering.
• Review and provide feedback on solutions developed by peers, ensuring quality standards are met.

Customer Focus

• Act as a consultant for clients, ensuring solutions are delivered within budget and meet business needs.
• Assist customers in determining their business needs, promoting Origin products and services as appropriate.
• Provide user support during system testing and client testing phases.
• Develop and recommend solutions based on customer business goals, objectives, and infrastructure.
• Identify opportunities for additional products and services within the customer’s organization.

Skill Requirements

Required

• Experience in enterprise reporting tools such as BI Publisher, Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, etc. Strong preference is given to candidates with Jaspersoft reports experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of reporting, data storytelling, and data visualization experience.

Certification Requirements

Certifications in enterprise reporting tools are preferred but not mandatory.
