Job Overview As a Rostering Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operational flow by managing shift allocations, dealing with shift time changes, and coordinating communication between staff members and care coordinators. Your responsibilities will encompass the dynamic management of staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and efficient allocation of resources.
Responsibilities
Facilitate shift time changes as required, ensuring all changes are accurately reflected in the roster.
Allocate staff members to shifts based on availability, skillset, and organizational needs.
Manage the reallocation of staff from rostered shifts due to unforeseen circumstances or changing priorities.
Liaise with staff members to determine availability and preferences for shifts.
Communicate effectively with staff to offer available shifts and finalize allocations.
Collaborate closely with Care Coordinators to relay information regarding shift dynamics, changes, and any pertinent updates.
Maintain accurate records of shift allocations, changes, and staff availability.
Ensure all communication regarding shift changes and allocations is documented for reference and audit purposes.
Address staffing issues and conflicts that may arise during shift allocations promptly and effectively.
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to find suitable solutions for unexpected staffing challenges.
Requirements
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong grasp of logistical principles.
Proficiency in roster management.
Advanced computer skills, including scheduling software.
Ability to take detailed notes during communications.
Strong problem-solving skills.
