Collins Accounting Services is looking for a detail-oriented and enterprising professional to join the Cost Accounting team. This remote individual contributor position provides visibility to the overall performance of the Business, how financial activity flows through the accounting system, and how our actions impact Collins Accounting Services.  It also provides an excellent opportunity for networking and building contacts within Finance and other Collins Accounting Services, other RTX Business Units, and Corporate.  Our department is involved in various high visibility teams across RTX that drive policies, establish financial guidelines, and set the direction of our financial organization for the future.

As a member of the Collins / hRTN Accounting Services, responsibilities include performing various activities including but not limited to:

What You Will Do:

  • Facilitate quarterly PRISM Support Pool IWA Package and PRISM Pool EAC rate updates with all pool owners and coordinate updates with Estimating & Pricing

  • Partner with CORE team to ensure system allocations are posting correctly and maintain base settings

  • Clear overhead pools and post all necessary over/under entries and monitor / reconcile / report all current year and prior year balances

  • Support internal and external audits

  • Assist Direct/Indirect Cost Transfers, Labor Transfers (LATs), WIPPROs and Accruals

  • Assist new Inter-Organization Transfer (IOT) requests and revisions between RAY Collins and other RTX businesses, ensuring compliance with all Collins and company policies

  • Assist in maintaining APEX master data including cost centers, activity types, internal orders, assessments, etc.

  • Support with various Finance functions in updating Statistical Key Figures

  • Perform ad hoc projects ranging in complexity (i.e. internal reorgs, changes to direct pools, etc.)

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Must have a minimum of 8+ years accounting/finance related work experience

  • Must have professional experience with Excel

  • Experience in Cost Accounting Standards (CASB) Disclosure Statement and Federal Acquisition Requirements (FAR)

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract 

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Proficient/experienced in PRISM & APEX

  • Experience with OneStream and or Advanced Excel skills such as VBA and complex formulas

  • Some leadership skills; ability to communicate effectively with all management levels.

  • Ability to multi-task and meet monthly and quarterly deadlines

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
