Moderna is seeking an experienced Manager for Global Cost Accounting with a specialized focus on international cost accounting for Contract Manufacturers (CMOs) and standard cost. This role is crucial in managing CMO reconciliations, month-end close activities, inventory reserves, and general ledger account reconciliations. Additionally, you will support SOX, internal, and external audits. As the Manager, Global Cost Accounting, you will uphold Moderna's financial integrity while embracing the innovative, collaborative, and fearless mindset that propels our mission forward. Here's What You’ll Do:

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • CMO Reconciliations: Partnering with Supply Chain to ensure inventory on-hand accuracy, propose inventory adjustments, and approve GMP forms as required. You'll act with urgency, recognizing that today's actions save lives tomorrow.

  • Reviewing BMOs: Approving, reviewing, and developing standard costs for CMOs, pursuing options in parallel to drive optimal decisions.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engaging with various teams to foster collaboration and drive continuous improvements in alignment with the “remove viscosity” mindset.

Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Month-End Close: Executing steps in SAP to close production orders and analyze spending, absorption, and allocations to inventory. You'll adapt quickly to new data, ensuring accurate cost reflection, and providing insights to enhance efficiency.

  • Inventory Reserves: Recording and managing all inventory reserves for international CMOs, taking ownership in decision-making around reserves and contributing actively to inventory reporting.

  • Account Reconciliations: Managing timely reconciliation of inventory general ledger accounts and collaboratively integrating cost data into broader financial insights.

  • 5+ years of progressive cost accounting experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required

  • Experience working in global cost accounting with a focus on manufacturing variances

  • This role is expected to be in office 70% of the time with flexibility to work from home up to 30%.
