Position: Sr. eCommerce Manager

What you will be doing:
Orchestrate the consumer experience strategy to drive engagement and increase conversion rates across US and Canadian DTC markets.
Develop and implement a comprehensive plan for site enhancements, including design improvements and technical updates.
Ensure that all eCommerce components are delivered on time and in line with business priorities, with detailed project timelines and resource coordination.
Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to drive iterative site design, ensuring brand evolution is reflected accurately.
Oversee the documentation and accountability for all functional capabilities, ensuring clear communication with development teams and external partners.
Lead the integration of Klevu dynamic merchandising into the CMS, optimising product discovery and customer experience.
Manage SEO migration processes, ensuring proper strategy sign-off and effective resource management for seamless execution.
Coordinate with digital marketing teams to align tagging, paid media, and analytics strategies for accurate reporting and decision-making.
Drive continuous improvement of guided selling tools and first-party data collection to inform consumer insights and decision-making.
Manage chat tools powered by AI (e.g., Gorgias), ensuring proactive customer service and improving the consumer experience.
Take charge of subscription services management (e.g., Recharge), ensuring smooth operations and customer retention strategies.
Manage the creation and optimisation of paid media landing pages to support marketing campaigns and drive conversions.
Coordinate with the EMEA team to ensure that US/CA site upgrades align with global digital strategies and technologies.
Develop detailed go-to-market plans for site upgrades, aligning them with brand objectives and key team members.
Monitor and report on site performance important metrics, ensuring ongoing tracking and measurement against commercial goals.
Lead the process for developing long-term promotional and merchandising strategies in partnership with brand teams.
Provide top-down and bottom-up sales forecasting, collaborating with marketing, inventory planning, and finance teams for accuracy.
Ensure that all eCommerce operations and site functions are optimised for high performance and scalability, continuously improving UX and conversion.
Act as the primary point of contact for the resolution of technical issues affecting the site, collaborating with technology and support teams for quick resolution.
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure that site changes align with broader business strategies and consumer needs.
Monitor the effectiveness of promotional plans, collaborating with your direct report to ensure successful execution and performance.
Coordinate with warehouse and operations teams for capacity planning, ensuring that inventory and order forecasting is accurate and efficient.
Handle and resolve operational challenges to ensure seamless site functionality and order fulfilment.
Regularly evaluate site and consumer experience improvements, using customer feedback (e.g., NPS) to refine future strategies.
Collaborate with marketing and product teams to identify new opportunities for site functionalities, tools, and third-party integrations.
Foster a positive, productive team environment, ensuring that team members are supported and empowered to meet goals and deadlines.
Drive alignment between DTC goals and broader company objectives, ensuring cohesive execution of strategies across teams.
Celebrate team successes and create a culture of continuous improvement through regular feedback and performance reviews.
Skills needed to be successful in this role:
Ability to build revenue forecasts and craft a digital strategy that works towards targets.
Detailed understanding of end-to-end ecommerce processes including clear understanding of website infrastructure, content management, sales forecasting, operations, and customer facing functionality.
Ecommerce platform expertise – ideally including Shopify+.
Demonstrated experience and passion for driving eCommerce revenue with prior relevant roles.
Interest in analytical and data-driven thinking; ability to assess, interpret and act on results.
Strong organisation skills with the ability to prioritise and lead multiple projects at once.
Self-motivated with a track record showing a “can-do” demeanour and a passion for your work.
Flexible and responsive to change.
Presentation, oral and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with privileged information, work well with others and handle a fast-paced environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
7+ years in website operations, merchandising, and optimisation experience
Experience being an influential manager of indirect or cross-functional teams/individuals. Management of eCommerce team
Proven experience working with website technical structures, design/aesthetics, content, navigation, product taxonomy and continuous improvement of functional capabilities
Experience working with marketing platforms, including web analytics, tag management, A/B testing, etc.
Experience directly or indirectly managing, mentoring, and influencing team members with a track record of building and maintaining effective working relationships across functional divisions within an organisation to enable success.
