Job description

Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.

The Capture Lead Coordinator will play a critical role in supporting the Business Development (BD)/Capture Manager throughout the capture and proposal processes. This position involves managing and coordinating all capture activities for assigned opportunities, from initial opportunity qualification to proposal submission. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse capture team, performing in-depth analysis, leading solution development, and supporting pre-proposal planning to increase the likelihood of a successful win.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Capture Management: Lead capture efforts for opportunities, ensuring alignment with company goals, coordinating teams, overseeing action items, and conducting gate reviews.
  • Intelligence & Analysis: Direct research, perform SWOT analyses, gather competitive insights, and engage stakeholders to inform strategies and build strong positioning.
  • Solution Development: Develop tailored technical and management solutions, build winning teams, craft compliant win themes, and collaborate on pricing strategies.
  • Pre-Proposal Planning: Prepare executive summaries, gather content, develop templates, and ensure resource readiness for successful proposal execution.
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. 

Qualifications to be successful in the role

  • BA/BS in Business, Engineering, or a related technical field of study.
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, capture planning, and proposal management.
  • Familiarity with U.S. Government contracting, contract types/vehicles, and procurement processes.
  • Strong leadership abilities to organize and execute capture activities, including team building, customer engagement, and win strategy execution.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including presentations and proposal writing.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to assess opportunities, identify key issues, and create data-driven solutions.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and Adobe Pro.
  • Excellent facilitation and customer service skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.
  • Demonstrated capacity to thrive in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment.
