What you’ll do 

The EMEA Sales team is seeking a proactive and results-driven New Business Sales Team Lead to manage a team of 7 Account Executives in the Energy/Commodities sector to develop relationships and grow the business across the region.

Reporting to the Head of Sales New Business EMEA, we are seeking an individual who excels in leading a motivated sales team by opening new business relationships within the energy and commodities sectors.

As a Commercial Team Lead at Kpler, you will:
  • Manage a team of motivated Account Executives (new business sales) in the EMEA region to ensure region growth with Kpler and expand revenue generation.
  • Strategize sales plans for short and long-term objectives.
  • Take full ownership of the Northern Europe market in the energy and commodities sector, managing the sales process through prospecting new business, developing opportunities, demoing the product, and closing sales.
  • Structure and position new business sales opportunities effectively to meet client needs while aligning with company goals and strategies.
  • Work with teams across the globe to integrate resources and expertise into client proposals, enhancing our value proposition.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in target companies.
  • Implement innovative sales strategies and ideas to drive growth and improve client engagement.


  • What we’re looking for:
  • At least 5 years of experience in sales (new business) selling data/tech/SaaS to the energy/commodities industry AND at least 2 years of experience leading New Business Sales teams (MUST HAVE).
  • Proven track record of achieving high targets in a fast-paced environment, and building and managing relationships with high-level clients and stakeholders.
  • Ambitious and self-motivated, who can work autonomously in a high-growth, ever-changing company.
  • A proactive ‘hunter’ mentality.
  • Strong sales negotiation and closing skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex client requirements and needs.
  • Other considerations:

    Candidates must have the right to work and live in the UK without sponsorship.
    Location: remote/hybrid in the UK. Proximity to our London office in Victoria is highly preferred.
