Job description

A Microsoft-centric Managed Services Provider that propels businesses into the digital age, with a global clientele and a diverse team distributed across various geographies, is looking for a highly skilled Microsoft Security Architect to design, implement, and manage advanced security solutions for their clients.                   

As the Microsoft Security Architect,  you will leverage Microsoft technologies such as Defender, Sentinel, Azure Lighthouse, and Azure Security Center to provide comprehensive security strategies, proactive threat management, and robust incident response for multi-tenant environments. Your expertise will empower the clients to achieve optimal security while meeting compliance standards, ensuring their digital infrastructure remains protected against evolving cyber threats.

What You'll Do
  • Client Security Strategy and Advisory                
  • Develop and execute security strategies tailored to client needs using Microsoft technologies.                      
  • Act as the primary advisor for clients on security best practices, compliance, and regulatory standards within the Microsoft ecosystem.                     
  • Provide security assessments and recommend enhancements leveraging Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, and Azure Security tools.                         
  • Microsoft Security Platform Management                         
  • Implement, configure, and manage Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Identity, Office 365, and Cloud across client environments.                          
  • Oversee the deployment and management of Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM) for client threat detection and response.                                  
  • Automate security event responses using Microsoft Playbooks and Logic Apps to improve client incident handling efficiency.                         
  • Incident Response for Clients                         
  • Lead and manage incident response processes for client security breaches, utilizing Microsoft tools.                       
  • Conduct root cause analysis and deliver actionable recommendations to improve client resilience.                            
  • Provide ongoing threat monitoring, analysis, and resolution in client environments.             
  • Microsoft Azure Security and Architecture                   
  • Design and implement security architectures for clients based on Azure Security best practices.                  
  • Optimize multi-tenant security management using Azure Lighthouse for client infrastructures.                          
  • Collaborate with client teams to integrate secure development processes into their work plans.                       
  • Client Training and Enablement                      
  • Train client teams on Microsoft security tools and processes to enhance their operational capabilities.                            
  • Deliver workshops and presentations to help clients adopt and maximize Microsoft security solutions.                                  
  • Compliance and Audits                             
  • Conduct security audits and reviews for clients, ensuring alignment with industry standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, or ISO 27001.                               
  • Partner with clients to prepare for external security audits and implement remediation plans.      

  • What You Need
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.          
  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on delivering services to external clients.                      
  • Expertise in Microsoft Defender Suite, Microsoft Sentinel, Azure Security Center, and Azure Lighthouse.                        
  • Microsoft certifications such as Azure Security Engineer Associate, Cybersecurity.                 
  • Architect Expert or other relevant credentials.                     
  • Proven experience working in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or similar client-focused environment.                     
  • Strong understanding of multi-tenant management and automation within Microsoft environments.                          
  • Exceptional communication and client relationship management skills.

  • The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement.

  • Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm (+/- 2 hours accepted) - CST.
