Job description

Job Description:

This position is responsible for supporting the on-going maintenance of managerial reports and dashboards along with supporting annual forecasting events (current year reforecasts, annual budget, and 5-year projections) While supporting the current process, the incumbent will work the Business Intelligence team to automate and simplify process through the usage of technology. The incumbent will leverage the analytic and financial managerial reporting skills of a Financial Analyst along with Business Intelligence technical and automation skill and experience.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain & Improve monthly reporting packages and dashboard reports (primarily focused on Sales and Revenue)
  • Provide Variance analysis and learning from financial data
  • Support the creation of monthly and quarterly Executive and Board Reporting packages.
  • Support financial forecasting including current year reforecasts, annual budget and 5-year projection forecasting.
  • Work with the BI team to automate managerial reporting and forecasting processes.
  • Educate non-financial stakeholders on reports, dashboards and how to interpret them.
  • Participate in other projects or duties.
  • Provide guidance to and mentor more junior team members.
  • Occasional travel required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Required:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, strong Excel experience required
  • Strong Accounting knowledge
  • Strong oral and written communication skills as well as interpersonal and organization skills
  • Ability to work without significant supervision
  • Results oriented and customer focused skills
  • A self-starter who has enthusiasm to learn new things and to automate reports and processes

Preferred: (to demonstrate Business Intelligence Experience):

  • Programing Experience to Automate a process or report
  • PL-SQL, VBA, other languages
  • Adaptive (preferred), Oracle Hyperion (Essbase), etc.
  • Dashboarding: Microsoft Power BI (Preferred), Qlik, etc.
  • Data Warehousing: Oracle Databases, Microsoft Database, any other Database Software.
  • Data Analytics: Alteryx, etc.
  • Ability to listen and understand information and communicate the same.
  • Must possess good organizational skills.
  • Must be results oriented, customer focused, and exhibit good interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office packages.
  • Sufficient knowledge of business communications, including telephone, voicemail, and e-mail and operations of office machines, such as photocopier, scanner, and fax.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting/Business Intelligence/Computer Science or equivalent
  • Ten (10) plus years of related experience in corporate finance and/or Business Intelligence or equivalent education and experience required
  • Experience with managerial reporting
  • Some experience in Business Intelligence technologies and automation
  • Experience in ERP (Oracle, SAP) and ERP reporting tools such as Oracle Discoverer, Oracle OBIEE, etc. preferred
  • Experience in Financial Consolidation & Reporting Technology preferred
  • Experience in Data Warehousing and/or Dashboarding Technology preferred
  • Experience in Robotic Process Automation (RPA), or AI technology preferred
  • Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
