Job Description:

We are looking for a dynamic Account Manager who will play a pivotal role in maintaining client success by providing exceptional service and value to our clients from both an internal and external perspective. The Account Manager is responsible for day-to-day execution of operational support for clients across industries and is the direct liaison between the internal departments, the client account team and client. The Account Manager supports our practice area teams to achieve client goals. You will support the internal and client team by ensuring operations and support activities are executed and directly impact client’s success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with operational processes and demonstrate growing understanding and implementation of internal processes.
    • Manage weekly revenue forecasts/opportunities.
  • Proactively identify potential obstacles internally and externally and navigate the organization to address and resolve issues
  • Strive to exceed client expectations and maintain strong and trusted relationships internally and externally.
    • Work with client account team to ensure positive customer experience, sustained and enhanced customer relationships, and revenue growth within accounts
  • Coordinate internal and external client meetings, acting as the main point of contact
  • Effectively manage business reviews to multiple stakeholders for existing clients
  • Partner with sub-practice Project Managers/Project Leads to understand timelines and provide delivery of quality of client deliverables, reports, change requests and proposals
  • Support and manage the Salesforce account review plan, account map and account health monthly 
  • Demonstrate growing understanding and implementation of internal processes

Business Development Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive understanding of revenue recognition models and contractual billing/invoicing types to support finance and forecast accuracy.
    • Manage monthly invoices and payment follow-ups to minimize the days outstanding
  • Produce and interpret project and financial reports for internal and external reference.
    • Execute financial reporting via PowerBi
  • Review time allocations to ensure accuracy, manage against original deal economics and communicate any deviations
  • You will learn client needs through probing conversations, identify potential selling / revenue opportunities and escalate to leadership
  • Manage SOW renewals /change orders with the client and Merkle legal teams 
  • Support account management team in researching and gathering market intelligence, strategic analysis, and proposition development to increase business opportunities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum 5 years experience in client services/account management with a combination of agency and client-side work
  • 5+ years of experience collaborating with remote team members
  • 3+ years of Project management experience
  • Proven experience managing client relationships and the ability to analyze problems and produce a viable solution
  • Strong story-telling skills, presentation skills, and insight delivery
  • Experience applying learnings to new tasks independently

Additional Information

The anticipated salary range for this position is $68,000 - $110,400 / year.

Salary is based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
