The Career Readiness Education (CRE) Business Partnerships and Job Placement Manager leads in the successful implementation of the CRE program by building strong business partnerships and successfully securing job placements for participating students. This role works closely with CTE administrators and staff to ensure that students engage in comprehensive career awareness, exploration, preparation, and job placement experiences. The Manager also earns and fosters active partnerships with businesses, industry groups, civic organizations, chambers of commerce and Workforce Solution Centers across Texas, and the Texas Workforce Commission to support students’ transitions into the workforce. Additionally, this position is responsible for supporting program compliance to maintain program standards and effectiveness.

This is a full-time REMOTE position. Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week is required. Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during workday, typically 8am-5pm central time or as defined by the school. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:   Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties. 
•    Develop a comprehensive Business and Industry Partnership recruitment, activity, and engagement plan.
•    Successfully match career trained, industry-certified students seeking employment after high school with a job or paid internship with hiring partners.
•    Initiate targeted outreach and secure strategic partnerships with businesses, industry, civic organizations, chambers of commerce, military, Texas Workforce Commission, Workforce Solutions centers, and community organizations that provide internship and employment opportunities for Texas virtual students;
•    Maintain an active Business Advisory Board that meets regularly; gather actionable feedback from all stakeholders.
•    Organize engaging events (virtual and in-person) to foster connections between students and hiring partners.
•    Utilize client management databases to track partnerships, student preparedness/certification, student interviews/applications and real-time employment statuses.
•    Publicize partnership resources for students.
•    Capture and share partnership success stories in collaboration with the Marketing team to enhance brand and partner relations. 
•    Frequently review partnership health and engagement.
•    Coordinate career awareness, exploration, preparation activities in classroom, groups, or individual sessions; Engage in coaching, mentoring, and staff development activities to enrich career development for students;
•    Work as a team to ensure full state compliance with the Work-Based Learning Framework provided by the Texas Education Agency, Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, and Texas Workforce Commission; 
•    Stay current on all state and federal required mandates associated with CTE program, attending state trainings on program changes;
•    Assist Sr. Manager with the setting of goals for CRE programs and Work-Based Learning initiatives;
•    Monitor key metrics related to partner engagement and job placements, with goals to improve through data-driven strategies; Provide regular reporting to local, state, and national leadership on progress towards performance goals.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:   
•    Five (5) years of CTE experience OR Five (5) years of experience in recruitment, job coaching and/or workforce planning
•    Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of CTE pathways and their relationship to industry-based certifications for future employment.
•    Knowledge of federal and state regulations
•    Highly effective communicator able to engage with all stakeholders, from a job seeker to a software developer or to a CEO – both in person and remotely
•    Networking experience; comfortable in meetings and events of all sizes
•    Highly motivated to take ownership of attaining relationships and follow up.
•    Strong organizational and time management skills
•    Experience using a student information system and/or other type of database.
•    Proficient in Office 365 (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.); Canva, Salesforce and Web proficiency.
•    Ability to travel 50% of the time
•    Ability to clear required background check 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  
•    State Specific CTE Certificate 
•    Experience with Salesforce
•    Experience in early talent pipeline recruitment
