Overview:


Dandy is hiring an Orthodontist to join our innovative, rapidly growing, venture-backed company. This role focuses on designing comprehensive clear aligner treatment plans, utilizing advanced orthodontic principles and technology to provide high-quality outcomes. The ideal candidate will work closely with internal teams and partner doctors to ensure treatment plans meet clinical needs and patient goals. This position requires expertise in orthodontics, attention to detail, and a commitment to exceptional patient care.

What You'll Do:

  • Evaluate patient records, including intraoral scans, X-rays, and clinical notes, to assess case viability and develop optimal treatment plans.

  • Create and refine clear aligner designs based on doctors’ prescriptions, preferences, and clinical requirements.

  • Collaborate with doctors to adjust and finalize treatment plans, ensuring alignment with patient needs and expectations.

  • Ensure designs adhere to established clinical guidelines, technical specifications, and turnaround times.

  • Coordinate with internal teams to address case-related questions and resolve design issues efficiently and professionally.

  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in orthodontics, clear aligner technology, and industry best practices.

  •  Conduct data analysis and internal audits to evaluate  performance, identify areas for improvement, and support process optimization.

  • Interact with doctors via phone or video calls to ensure clarity and alignment on treatment objectives.

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualifications:

    • Licensed Orthodontist with a minimum of 4 years of clinical experience in orthodontic treatment planning and clear aligner therapy.

    • Proficiency in digital treatment planning software (e.g., ClinCheck, 3Shape, or similar platforms).

    • Strong understanding of orthodontic principles, biomechanics, and clear aligner treatment protocols.

  • Skills:

    • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and critical thinking.

    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively interact with doctors and internal teams.

    • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

    • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

  • Additional Requirements:

    • Willingness to work US hours.

    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a remote or office-based setting.

Bonus Points For:

  • Basic knowledge of Excel for data tracking and reporting.

  • Active practice as an orthodontist with hands-on clinical experience.

  • Previous experience working in the orthodontic or dental industry.

  • Understanding of quality processes, including audits and documentation workflows.

  • Experience in mixed dentition or complex orthodontic cases.

  • Expertise in adjunctive orthodontic treatments, such as TADs or surgical orthodontics.

  • Background in teaching or mentoring other orthodontists or dental professionals.

  • Familiarity with other areas of digital dentistry, including 3D printing or restorative design.
