Job description

MIE is seeking a proven Chief Financial Officer with an exceptional track record of success to lead the company through its next phase of growth. This leader will partner closely with the CEO and the senior leadership team to build and execute MIE’s financial strategy, ensuring the company’s operational and financial infrastructure supports its ambitious growth objectives.

  • Strong capability in identifying, mitigating, and managing financial risks while maintaining regulatory compliance and governance practices.

  • Experienced in establishing and enforcing financial controls to minimize risk and ensure financial stability.

  • Proven ability to anticipate and navigate complex financial challenges, ensuring the company’s long-term health.


Operational and Process Optimization

  • Expertise in designing and implementing ERP systems, scaling financial operations, and improving processes to support rapid growth.

  • Track record of building scalable financial systems and controls to enable efficient, accurate month-end closes and business unit allocations.

  • Skilled in preparing and presenting financial reports and strategic insights that build trust and confidence among investors.

  • Demonstrated success in navigating PE-backed environments, including capital structure management, governance practices, and alignment with investor expectations.

  • Ready to lead the company through M&A, recapitalizations, or exit scenarios, with a track record of delivering on post-acquisition integrations and synergies.



CFO Responsibilities:


  • Build a disciplined, metrics-driven finance organization to support MIE’s growth objectives and operational priorities.

  • Develop and maintain financial reporting capabilities, focusing on core software metrics and delivering actionable insights.

  • Lead financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and scenario planning, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals.

  • Implement and optimize ERP systems and financial processes to support scalability and operational efficiency.

  • Build and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and results.

  • Partner with sales and marketing teams to provide financial insights for pricing, packaging, and contracting practices.

  • Lead communication with investors and Board members, providing clear updates on financial strategy, performance, and health.

  • Support M&A activity, including due diligence, integration planning, and value realization.

  • Drive financial decision-making, balancing CEO priorities with data-driven insights to highlight trade-offs and opportunities.

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and governance standards, mitigating financial risks and ensuring stability.



Required Criteria:


  • Proven senior finance leadership experience in PE-backed, high-growth B2B SaaS companies ($25M-$75M revenue).

  • Extensive FP&A expertise, with a track record of building metrics-driven strategies and operational discipline.

  • Strong risk management and compliance capabilities, ensuring governance and regulatory adherence.

  • Demonstrated success in designing and implementing ERP systems and scaling finance functions.

  • Experience managing relationships with private equity investors and Boards, providing clear, concise updates on financial strategy and performance.
