As a Data Asset Manager in P&G, your role would be that of a practitioner of data management, concerned with establishing and controlling data quality and availability required throughout the data supply chain to ensure the right business decisions are made. Within this position, you will be responsible for the implementation of the governance process of various data inputs with the objective to control data quality. The role typically requires working with both the upstream data providers and publishing of the data as well as with clients and users of the data, such as a Business Units Data Governance Council.

Responsibilities:

  • Data Governance: Establishing and enforcing P&G data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance.
  • Data Management: Overseeing the lifecycle of data assets, including data collection, storage, processing, and archiving.
  • Data Strategy Development: Developing and implementing strategies for data management that align with P&G overall business goals and objectives.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Monitoring and maintaining the quality of data, including validation, cleansing, and ensuring accuracy.
  • Data Integration: Ensuring seamless integration of data from various sources, including databases, applications, and external data providers.
  • Collaboration with IT and Business Units: Working closely with IT teams and business units to understand their data needs and provide support for data-related projects.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Facilitating access to data for reporting and analytics purposes, ensuring that stakeholders can derive insights from data assets.
  • Training and Support: Providing training and support to staff on best practices for data management and the use of data tools and systems.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for improvement in data processes and technologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Management Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field;
  • Advanced English level skills, both written and spoken;
  • Ideally, a first previous experience with Data Governance/Data Management in a corporate, IT, data related roles, notably with regards to Data Quality;
  • Business Analysis: understand business decisions and value expected from the data;
  • Foundation in IT systems development, integration, and knowledge of how data architecture fits in the overall life cycle and architecture patterns;
  • Leadership skills in terms of ability to influence internally and externally and build beneficial partnerships within P&G’s Data Science, Programmatic, Data Engineering and key externals;
  • Service Operations: foundational understanding of requirements to deliver operational excellence, including Change Management;
