Summary of Job Duties:
The Project Coordinator works within the Perioperative Care Services Division, the Clinical and Operational Performance Project Coordinator provides support and coordination of all clinical and operational analytics as well as performance improvement projects. The Periop Project Coordinator has experience in data management and analysis, performance improvement, creation of actionable reports and management of complex projects in diverse clinical and operational realms. This team member utilizes data in problem identification and resolution. Effective communication techniques are a necessity as well as the ability to effectively translate information to team members inclusive of all levels of education, background, and disciplines.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree PLUS Three (3) years of project management experience OR High School plus Seven (7) years of project coordination or administrative support experience
Effective communication and interpersonal skills;
ability to present to large audiences effectively
Strong skills in MS Office, database software, and analytics software
Upon request, must be able to provide samples demonstrating proficiency in areas indicated above as well as technical writing and presentations

Ensures organizational data requirements are captured, reported, and managed according to UAMS regulations
Responsible for coordinating improvement initiatives as outlined by the organization, regulatory bodies, and Perioperative Care Services
Coordinates tracking and resolution of safety submissions
Coordinates and standing audits and subsequent findings/actions
Operational Processes and Performance
Provides operational reporting, inclusive of all daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual analyses of efficiency and productivity metrics
Identifies and disseminates evidence for performance improvement activities
Conducts on-site and front-line studies to gather objective and subjective information to support projects involving operational change and improvement
Serves as a resource to all Perioperative team members and stakeholders
Provides performance improvement consultative support to the leadership team, physicians, residents,and all Perioperative Care Services employees
Is visible and accessible in the patient care setting
Supports the financial and administrative team in the management of productivity, revenue, and budgetary metrics.
May perform other duties as assigned.
