Job description

We are currently seeking a "Principal Golang Engineer" based in Toronto, Canada for a fully remote position. Please take a look at the job details below and send us your latest resume to proceed further.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain backend systems and APIs, following best industry practices.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Frontend Engineers, Product Managers, and Designers, to implement new features and functionalities.
Conduct thorough code reviews, identify performance bottlenecks, and suggest improvements for system optimization.
Lead API design efforts, including RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and GRPC, ensuring they meet performance, scalability, and usability standards.
Champion initiatives aimed at enhancing platform security and ensuring adherence to industry regulations and standards.
Develop and maintain unit and API tests to guarantee system reliability, robustness, and resilience.

Qualifications:

A Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
A minimum of 8 years of professional backend development experience, with a focus on creating scalable, high-performance systems.
Expertise in Go programming and a strong understanding of Kubernetes.
Proven experience working with open-source databases like PostgreSQL.
Proficiency in designing and developing APIs, including RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and GRPC.
Hands-on experience with DevOps practices and containerization tools such as Docker.
Solid understanding of Cryptographic Principles, Tokenomics, and Decentralized Identity (DID).
In-depth knowledge of database design, schema optimization, and performance tuning.
Experience in Payments, Blockchain, or similar industries is highly desirable.
