Position Title: Mid-Senior Level Accountant
Work Set-up: Hybrid / Work From Home
Salary: Php 60,000.00 – Php 75,000.00
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM PH Time

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR A MID-SENIOR LEVEL ACCOUNTANT

Responsibilities as a Mid-Senior Level Accountant:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Australian Accounting Standards (AASB).
• Manage and ensure compliance with Australian tax regulations, including BAS, GST, PAYG, and FBT, and support year-end tax return preparation.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities, providing analysis and insights to aid in strategic financial planning.
• Conduct monthly reconciliations of accounts payable and receivable, bank statements, and other financial statements.
• Oversee payroll processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with Australian payroll legislation and award conditions.
• Coordinate and prepare for audits, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of information to auditors.
• Provide financial guidance and strategic advice to management on improving financial operations and performance.
• Identify opportunities for improving financial processes and systems, driving efficiencies and streamlining workflows.
• Preparation of Financial Statements and Tax returns for Individuals, Companies, Trusts and Partnerships.

Qualifications as a Mid-Senior Level Accountant:

• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years focused on Australian accounting practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CA certification is preferred.
• Proficiency in accounting software, such as MYOB, Xero, or QuickBooks; advanced MS Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of Australian tax laws and ATO regulations.
• Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders effectively.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
• Previous experience in a multi-entity or global organization.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote setting.
