We are actively seeking a Sr. Business Experience Designer, ServiceNow. The role may require periodic travel as necessary across the world. This is a remote position that can be based anywhere in the U.S.

Position Summary 

As part of our Rimini Consult group, the Sr. Business Experience Designer, ServiceNow will be responsible for aligning business processes, technology, and user needs to deliver optimized workflows and impactful solutions to meet the unique needs of our clients. By leveraging Human-Centered Design and Design Thinking, this role focuses on reimagining and simplifying processes, improving user experiences, and driving business outcomes. The designer collaborates closely with users and stakeholders to define a clear vision, develop prototypes, and ensure solutions are aligned with organizational goals, KPIs, and persona-specific requirements.

This role also evolves into a functional and industry expert, ensuring continuous improvement and innovation in alignment with best practices and trends.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Define the vision for optimized workflows, user experiences, and process improvements. 
  • Create prototypes and mockups to demonstrate solution functionality, gather user feedback, and refine designs. 
  • Use visual tools to communicate complex ideas and align stakeholders with the solution vision. 
  • Apply Design Thinking to identify pain points, ideate innovative solutions, and prioritize improvements. 
  • Develop detailed persona profiles and lifecycle scenarios (e.g., "Day-in-the-Life") to tailor solutions to specific roles. 
  • Ensure designs focus on user needs, efficiency, and alignment with business goals. 
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of current workflows to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement. 
  • Design and optimize processes to enhance productivity, reduce manual effort, and align with platform capabilities (e.g., SAP, ServiceNow, Salesforce). 
  • Leverage platform-specific Out-of-the-Box (OOTB) features to accelerate implementation and minimize customization. 
  • Facilitate workshops and interviews with stakeholders to gather requirements and identify objectives. 
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications, workflows, and detailed process maps. 
  • Develop "As-Is" and "To-Be" documentation to clearly illustrate improvements and guide implementation. 
  • Define measurable Business KPIs (e.g., cost reduction, efficiency gains) and Usability KPIs (e.g., user satisfaction, task efficiency). 
  • Track and analyze KPIs to assess solution effectiveness and inform continuous improvement efforts. 
  • Foster close collaboration with end-users to ensure solutions meet their needs and expectations. 
  • Address user concerns, gather feedback, and iteratively improve designs for higher adoption rates. 
  • Develop training materials and deliver workshops to prepare users for deployment. 
  • Oversee the creation of functional specifications, test cases, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scenarios. 
  • Collaborate with QA teams to ensure solutions meet defined requirements and usability goals. 
  • Address testing feedback to refine solutions and ensure reliability. 
  • Develop deep knowledge in specific functional areas (e.g., HR, ITSM, supply chain) and industries (e.g., healthcare, finance). 
  • Stay informed about best practices, trends, and emerging technologies to guide process improvements. 
  • Act as a trusted advisor by applying industry knowledge to align solutions with organizational objectives. 
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess solution performance and identify opportunities for enhancement. 
  • Introduce innovative methodologies and technologies to further optimize workflows and user experiences. 
  • Integrate lessons learned into future projects to drive continuous improvement.

Education

Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

  • Over 5+ years in functional design, process optimization, or business analysis roles. 
  • Demonstrated ability to define solution visions and create prototypes. 
  • Experience working with enterprise platforms like SAP, ServiceNow, Salesforce, or equivalent. 
  • Success in using persona-based methodologies and lifecycle scenarios to design tailored solutions. 
  • Proven expertise in managing KPIs and overseeing testing processes. 
  • History of collaborating with users and ensuring high adoption rates for new solutions.

  • Expertise in conducting workshops, stakeholder interviews, and discovery sessions. 
  • Strong skills in creating detailed functional specifications and "As-Is" / "To-Be" documentation.
  • Ability to define, track, and analyze KPIs to measure success and inform iterative improvements. 
  • Proficiency in overseeing functional testing, creating test cases, and managing UAT processes. 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage stakeholders and align teams. 
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to address challenges and refine solutions. 
  • Capacity to develop expertise in functional domains and industries through experience and continuous learning. 
  • Strong understanding of industry best practices to guide solution design.

Rimini’s target pay for each position is available upon request during the applicant’s Interview process.

The general salary range for this type of role is 140k - 175k depending on skills and experience.
