This position will lead business development activities for Envision Plastics, a leading recycler and supplier of innovative Post Consumer Resin (PCR) solutions. Job Description
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop a robust business development strategy and pipeline, by using data and market insights, as well as your own professional network, to go after new business opportunities.
- Use CRM to track success of new growth initiatives inclusive of sales growth, profit, customer sentiment, and customer loyalty.
- Understand mutual value propositions, risks, and benefits.
- Develop price strategy to help capture new business opportunities while balancing the existing portfolio.
- Collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to develop a roadmap of enhancements to maximize our value exchange with customers
- Lead strategic planning of external engagements (trade shows, conferences, etc.) and attend relevant sales and industry trade shows to network and identify new opportunities and threats.
- Build and/or maintain a strong, sustainable relationship with strategic customers and partners by reinforcing quality, continuous innovation, and solution selling.
- Partner with technical team, manufacturing, finance, procurement, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on new business development opportunities.
- Provide monthly sales forecasts as well as weekly detailed sales and activity reports to management.
- Assist in marketing activities, such as creating sales materials and generating leads, to foster new business opportunities.
- Consistently demonstrates Altium Packaging’s Guiding Principles.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related discipline or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in technical sales role in a similar industry or calling on a similar customer base (packaging manufacturers and CPGs)
- Proven track record of obtaining new customers and a competitive mentality; manage sales cycle to close new business
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to negotiate with a demonstrated background of closing deals
- Experience with large, national accounts
- Greenfield sales, value selling, or solution selling experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) to complete analyses, build forecasts and create presentations.
- Knowledge of and experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRMs) and sales pipeline management tools for tracking and reporting of current and future opportunities.
- Travel required based on business needs, up to 50%

- Sales experience in the plastics industry
