Description

The Director, Deposit Operations & Treasury Management is a pivotal leadership role responsible for advising and delivering strategic, operational, and technical solutions to banking and credit union clients. You will lead engagements that optimize deposit operations, improve treasury management capabilities, and enhance overall operational efficiency.

This role requires a combination of deep industry expertise, strategic vision, and hands-on leadership to ensure client success and satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities

  • Client Advisory
    • Assess client needs and provide expert recommendations on deposit operations, treasury management processes, and product offerings.
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding them through operational challenges and implementing best practices.
  • Project Leadership
    • Lead consulting engagements focused on deposit operations and treasury management, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
    • Design and implement scalable processes for deposit account management, ACH, wire transfers, and other treasury services.
    • Oversee the evaluation and selection of treasury management technologies, platforms, and vendors.
  • Operational Optimization
    • Identify inefficiencies in back-office operations and develop strategies to improve speed, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
    • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, including BSA/AML, Reg CC, and other deposit-related compliance requirements.
  • Thought Leadership
    • Stay abreast of industry trends and share insights with clients and internal teams.
    • Develop and deliver workshops, white papers, or training materials to support client growth and knowledge development.
  • Collaboration & Team Building
    • Partner with cross-functional teams, including risk management, technology, and customer experience, to deliver holistic solutions.
    • Mentor junior consultants, fostering their professional development and enhancing the firm’s bench strength.
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in deposit operations, treasury management, or related roles within a bank environment.
  • Proven track record of leading operational improvement initiatives in financial institutions.
  • Deep knowledge of banking regulations, treasury management technologies, and customer relationship strategies.
  • Exceptional project management and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
  • Prior consulting experience with small to medium-sized banks.
  • Certifications such as Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or Accredited ACH Professional (AAP).
  • Expertise in FinTech solutions relevant to deposit operations and treasury management.
