Job description

Job Title: Medical Virtual Assistant [N-NNHC]

Position Type: Part-Time with opportunity to transition to Full Time by February

Work Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST

Work Days: Monday - Friday

Salary: $5 - $6 per hour (depending on experience)

Job Description

We are looking for a proactive and versatile Medical Virtual Assistant to manage a variety of administrative and healthcare-related tasks. This role involves handling communications via calls, texts, and emails, overseeing day-to-day operations, and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.

The ideal candidate must be organized, able to take initiative, and work independently with minimal supervision. You will play a key role in streamlining operations, ensuring smooth workflows, and meeting expectations. A clear understanding of the needs and expectations of leadership is essential to ensure success in this role.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing inbound and outbound calls, texts, and emails.
  • Scheduling appointments and coordinating patient care.
  • Assisting with payroll, HR Support, and document preparation.
  • Supporting nurse tele-assessments, Remote Patient Monitoring, and patient care coordination.
  • Overseeing operations to ensure tasks are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Managing patient records, claims processing, and insurance verification.
  • Handle medical billing, make calls and follow up on missed payments.
  • Handle pre-authorizations


Requirements:

  • Relevant work experience.
  • Strong English communication skills (written and spoken).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks is preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency in Alora is preferred but not required
  • Reliable computer, high-speed internet (minimum 10 Mbps), mic, noise-canceling headset, and webcam.
  • Minimal environmental noise during video calls.
  • NBI clearance, valid ID, and short video introduction.
  • No other clients during required work hours; available to meet required hours.


This role requires someone who is proactive, takes initiative, and is capable of working independently to ensure smooth operations.
