Job Description

The Juvenile Justice SW Level III position responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • weekend and holiday shift coverageweekend and holiday shift coverage
  • assist/consult in planning for the appropriate after-care and concrete services once discharged from the JJ system,
  • provide on-site administrative and clinical oversite and to supervise social work staff
  • provide guidance and expertise in psychosocial assessments, family and group therapy and disposition planning
  • have extensive knowledge of the social service system, including JJ, ACS, DOE, OPWDD and OMH
  • supervision and evaluation of SW staff
  • Position is off-site.

Minimum Qualifications

For Assignment to Level III

  • Valid license as an LCSW issued by the NYSED.
