Job description

Job Overview

Elite Asia is in search of dedicated and resourceful freelance translators to join our esteemed linguist team. As a member of our team, you will be tasked with fulfilling assignments that align with our clients’ specifications, primarily within the Legal, Banking and Finance, Media, and Marketing sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete translation assignments according to client specifications.
  • Deliver high-quality translations across specified industries.
  • Maintain effective communication with the team regarding project details.
  • Accept translation jobs from Monday to Friday, with a minimum daily workload of 1,200 words or a weekly capacity of 6,000 words.
  • Respond to job inquiries and requests within one hour during office hours.
  • Indicate your availability for weekend or public holiday projects when applicable.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin/Chinese (Singapore or Malaysia dialect).
  • Capability to post-edit machine-translated content to achieve human translation quality.
  • Strong communication skills for prompt and effective responses.
  • Organizational abilities to meet deadlines and manage workloads efficiently.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in translation is preferred, though fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  • High fluency in both English and Mandarin/Chinese (Singapore or Malaysia dialect).
