Description
Michael Baker is seeking a GSA National Market Lead. This is a remote position and can sit anywhere in the United States. Responsibilities include:
- Leadership to develop, support, and execute the National Federal Civilian (non-Defense) accounts with a specific focus on the General Services Administration (GSA). This includes development of strategies to understand and expand current strengths, understanding current GSA relationships and the interface across each region. The expectation is to organize that knowledge to establish Michael Baker International as a go-to provider for GSA.
- Engage Federal Civilian client leadership to understand upcoming business and teaming opportunities, and position Michael Baker International for successful capture and delivery.
- Engage Michael Baker International regional staff and leadership, national market and practice leads and selective subject matter experts to develop relationships, pursue opportunities, and execute the work.
- Grow the Federal Civilian (non-Defense) portfolio by securing GSA opportunities.
- In conjunction with the Federal business line, executive leadership, regional staff and leadership, national market and practice leads and selective subject matter experts the successful candidate will:
- Enhance small business relationships.
- Assist in strategic planning activities associated with the US Federal program, including the identification of potential teaming partners and transformational projects.
- Perform Program Management, QA, and related activities supporting the management and execution of projects.
- Represent Michael Baker International with outreach efforts, including professional societies and other organizations linked to the US government.
- Manage client relationships to develop opportunities and confirm successful delivery.
Professional Requirements
- Bachelors degree in engineering or architecture. Engineering registration is preferred, but not required.
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience with Federal clients with a focus on GSA. The ideal candidate will have experience with buildings & infrastructure, environmental, consulting, and other advisory services, across a broad range of project types and sizes with diverse public sector clients.
- Strong business development skills/relationships with the Federal entities preferably with GSA. Track record of building and cultivating partnerships with an extensive client network; creating new relationships, while strengthening existing ones.
- Knowledge of client organizational structures and procurement processes.
- An entrepreneurial orientation with strong understanding of the business development challenges of a consulting-services provider. Strong leadership skills, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Experience in leading a team of highly skilled professionals and internal networking across a large enterprise organization. Excellent communication, negotiation, coordination and managerial skills.
- Business acumen/experience personally engaging on key pursuits, including development of strategy, pricing and managing the team.
- Experience with and a working knowledge of the SF330 process.
- Travel is required to manage efforts across the US and at times, internationally.
