The starting base salary range for a Project Analyst is $64,000 to $95,000. Actual salaries will vary by geographic location and are based on factors such as candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, competencies, and company tenure & equity. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for a annual incentive plan based on company performance and individual performance.
Project Analyst-Dental Operations Overview
Works closely with vendors and business partners to proactively monitor service levels through reporting tools that correlate to business metrics and support financial control measures. Gathers, analyzes, documents, validates, and prioritizes the needs of business stakeholders including data intelligence, reporting, and business automation. Serves as the project lead for managing system requirements between the team and IT. Contributes toward establishing team as a center of excellence through improved efficiency and performance.
Essential Duties:
- Works with multiple departments and senior management to define requirements based on current and future business needs
- Develops and manages data and reporting capabilities for the team
- Documents and serves as the subject matter expert on internally developed business tools
- Conceptualizes and designs business process automation opportunities to support the business
- Identifies and resolves escalated risks, issues, and concerns involving business solutions and data repositories
- Coordinates and facilitates with IT to create, improve and enhance business tools including databases and software applications
- Develops, tests and implements solutions to increase efficiency through process automation, tracking, and reporting tools. Identifies and applies 'lessons learned' to support continuous improvement efforts
- Manages all aspects of the project lifecycle for assigned activities to support the Performance Management Team
- Leads multi-disciplinary project teams through demonstration of best practices, teamwork and collaboration skills
- Integrates business functional content expertise among the project team and seeks out the participation of organizational subject matter experts
- Partners with senior management to enhance and develop IT strategy
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with the Microsoft Suite including Visio and Excel; SQL is a strong plus
- Analytical skills encompassing design and development of system solutions and process automation
- Direct experience with project management lifecycle and process improvement methodologies
- Proficient in personal computer and desktop applications, particularly Microsoft Access and Excel
- Knowledge of data management protocols
- Excellent time management skills including the ability to prioritize multiple projects
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to address a wide range of audiences
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and motivation skills
- Extensive knowledge of claims systems and policies
- Strong understanding of Operations
- Advanced knowledge of requirements gathering, documentation, process mapping, solutions recommendations and testing techniques and tools
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years of project management experience with oversight of large scale or multiple projects
- Or, equivalent military experience
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master’s Degree or equivalent work experience
- 3 years of leadership experience
- Experience developing databases and designing business process automation
- Experience working with senior management and interacting with all levels of the organization
