What You'll Do
Lead Data Analyst is responsible for the entire data life cycle – data discovery, analysis, interpretation, mapping to FHIR. As a lead you will own a data domain area and major initiatives which span cross-functional teams of engineers and product managers.
- Lead and mentor other junior data analysts, providing technical guidance and assistance
- Design and implement data analytics products aligned with business objectives
- Develop and maintain analytics models and dashboards using tools like Databricks, Sigma, Python, and SQL
- Drive data quality initiatives and establish best practices for data governance
- Partner with stakeholders to identify data driven business opportunities and translate them into analytical solutions
- Lead complex data projects and ensure timely delivery of high-quality insights
- Establish KPIs and metrics to measure business performance and success
- Create and maintain documentation for processes, methodologies, and analyses
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare data analytics, with at least 3 years hands on analytics experience
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL, Python, and data visualization tools (Databricks, Power BI, or similar)
- Some experience with statistical analysis, A/B testing, and experimental design
- Proven track record of projects and business value delivered
- Experience with big data technologies and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Strong project management skills and experience with agile methodologies
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to distill complex subject matter into easy to understand concepts
Great To Have
- Master's degree in relevant field
- Experience with machine learning and predictive modeling
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools and practices
- Experience in stakeholder management and executive presentations
- Industry certifications (e.g., Google Analytics, AWS, etc.)
- Experience with version control systems (Git)
- Understanding of key healthcare concepts (Electronic Medical Records - Clinical Data, Claims Data, other health-related data
- Some knowledge of FHIR is highly preferred for this role (FHIR platform, Implementation Guides, Profiles)

- Innovation in analytics methodologies or tools
- Cross-functional leadership experience
- Track record of implementing successful data-driven initiatives
- Experience building data products at scale with a variety of data sources (clinical and payor, medical devices) for a large health system or health insurance company
- Experience with code systems and designing validations for terminology
- An active GitHub profile or another public code portfolio
- Active HL7 and FHIR ecosystem participation
- Documented work on open-source projects
The target salary range for this position is $115,000 - $165,000 and is part of a competitive total rewards package including stock options, benefits, and incentive pay for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all employee pay and compensation programs annually at minimum to ensure competitive and fair pay.
