Job description

We are looking for a creative and passionate individual to ideate and produce engaging video content for Hasbro Games. This role involves developing concepts for short-form and long-form video content that captures the attention of our target audience, drives engagement, and aligns with Hasbro's brand values. The ideal candidate will be a gamer at heart with a knack for creating shareable and innovative ideas.


This role is not limited to scripting but emphasizes ideation, collaboration, and hands-on involvement in creating impactful video content for a gaming audience.



Job responsibilities:


Content Ideation and Planning:

  1. Brainstorm and develop original, creative video concepts for Hasbro Games, tailored to the target audience.
  2. Research trends in gaming and social media to identify opportunities for innovative content ideas.
  3. Create structured content plans, including story outlines, themes, and visual elements.


Video Script Development:

  1. Draft detailed scripts or outlines for short-form and long-form videos, including hooks, pacing, and key messaging.
  2. Collaborate with actors, directors, and editors to refine scripts and ensure alignment with production goals.
  3. Ensure content has room for improvisation while maintaining a clear structure.


Collaboration and Coordination:

  1. Work closely with the creative team, including videographers, actors, and editors, to execute ideas effectively.
  2. Provide direction and feedback during production to ensure content quality and brand consistency.
  3. Collaborate with marketing and social media teams to align content with broader campaigns.


Audience Engagement and Optimization:

  1. Design content with strong hooks and retention strategies to maximize audience engagement.
  2. Incorporate audience insights and analytics into content planning and execution.
  3. Ensure all content is shareable, entertaining, and aligned with the preferences of gaming enthusiasts.


Trend and Market Analysis:

  1. Monitor gaming culture, social media trends, and viral content formats to inspire fresh ideas.
  2. Adapt and innovate based on market research to ensure Hasbro Games’ content remains relevant and competitive.


Production Support:

  1. Assist during video shoots, providing creative input and ensuring the vision is executed effectively.
  2. Coordinate with production staff to ensure timely delivery of high-quality videos.


Content Review and Improvement:

  1. Evaluate the performance of published content using analytics tools.
  2. Identify areas for improvement and incorporate feedback into future content strategies.


Brand Alignment:

  1. Ensure all content reflects Hasbro’s brand identity and maintains a consistent tone and style.
  2. Adapt content to suit different platforms while retaining the brand’s core messaging.


General Support:

  1. Stay adaptable to take on additional tasks related to content creation or production as needed.
  2. Maintain an organized workflow to handle multiple projects simultaneously.



Candidate Requirements:


  1. 2+ years of experience in content creation, social media marketing, or related creative fields.
  2. Proven track record of creating engaging video content (portfolio required).
  3. Experience collaborating with actors, influencers, or production teams.
  4. Knowledge of gaming culture and a passion for board and party games.
  5. Degree in Media, Communications, Scriptwriting or Video Production or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  6. Strong ideation and brainstorming skills with a deep understanding of creating content for platforms like YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram.
  7. Ability to craft ideas that are engaging, original, and suited to target demographics.
  8. Understanding of audience behavior and social media trends, with a focus on video retention strategies and hooks.
  9. Proficiency in video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar.
  10. Familiarity with content management systems and video analytics tools.
  11. Proficiency in English at a professional level.



Other Job-Specific Requirements:

  1. Availability for a part-time schedule (2-3 days per week).
  2. Access to a creative network (e.g., videographers, actors) is a plus.
