Job Overview:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manual testing, with a focus on Medicaid systems, particularly provider management and enrollment modules. The tester will be responsible for creating and executing test cases, identifying defects, and ensuring the quality of our systems through thorough validation and reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute manual test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Medicaid Provider Management & Enrollment systems
  • Analyze business and technical requirements to identify testing needs and ensure coverage
  • Perform functional, integration, system, and regression testing to ensure the quality and functionality of provider management and enrollment modules
  • Identify, document, and track defects using defect tracking tools, ensuring timely resolution in collaboration with developers and business analysts
  • Validate system compliance with Medicaid policies, regulations, and requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, developers, and project managers, to ensure alignment and clarity on requirements and deliverables
  • Create detailed test reports, metrics, and documentation to provide stakeholders with clear visibility into testing progress and outcomes
  • Participate in requirement reviews, sprint planning, and daily stand-ups as part of the Agile development process
  • Provide input on process improvements and best practices to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in manual testing, specifically within Medicaid or healthcare systems
  • Strong understanding of Medicaid Provider Management & Enrollment processes
  • Experience creating and executing test cases, test scripts, and test plans
  • Familiarity with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) and test management tools (e.g., HP ALM, TestRail)
  • Proficiency in identifying and documenting defects, ensuring accurate tracking and resolution
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and related tools
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred:

  • Experience with Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS)
  • Familiarity with CMS requirements and guidelines for Medicaid systems
  • Basic SQL skills to query and validate data in databases
  • Understanding of automated testing tools and techniques (although this role focuses on manual testing)
