If this sounds like an environment you would thrive in, we have an exciting opportunity for a Director, Supply Chain Capital Projects. A newly created role, we will support US Remote Candidates, or EMEA candidates preferable in UK, Sweden or other countries where Westinghouse has operations.

Your Day-to-Day

  • Accountable for Global Operations Services (GOS) large capital project supply chain activities including sourcing, competitive strategies, contract execution & monitoring , and supplier management including design, construction, facilities and production equipment and materials, transportation, utility infrastructure, etc. This role partners and collaborates with GOS Capital Projects, other Global Supply Chain Services (GSCS) resources, and additional stakeholders to deliver optimized procurement for large capital project.
  • Accountable for procurement management for major projects and programs with greater risk, resource/financial requirements and/or complexity.
  • Through constant collaboration with respective Dir; Engineering & Construction as well as Project control & commercial management (claims), Responsible for leading engineering, construction services, and capital equipment procurement services for multiple projects from the bid stage, through planning, engineering, procurement, construction, and project close-out within schedule & budgets.
  • Leads the development and review of requirements, development of sourcing strategies to be shared with PM & Large Capital Projects management, and management of the supplier due diligence process, oversight of the RFP process, contract negotiation and award, and oversight of the contract management process.
  • Ensures project procurement activities in accordance with procurement procedures with strong focus on competitive bidding, ensuring recommendations are based on the most competitive technical and commercial acceptable sources.
  • Accountable for the identification and qualification of new suppliers required for large capital projects and associated ongoing operations focusing on supply base strategies, spend analysis, market intelligence, risk management, and nuclear standard where applicable.
  • Executes supply chain management to ensure adherence to contractual commitments, proactively monitoring key performance metrics, and implement effective corrective actions to address deviations in collaboration with Contract Management representatives and PMs.
  • Implements and leverages data and analytics across the organization to proactively identify opportunities, model desired outcomes, and effectively manage performance.
  • Ensures the effective use of GSCS resources to maximize the capital spend while minimizing associated GSCS labor cost
  • Communicates, influences, and interact to build strategic partnerships with partners/stakeholders /executive management.

Who You Are

As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or recognized equivalent required; Additional Bachelor’s in engineering and / or MBA nice to have.
  • 10+ years’ of applicable experience requierd; 15+ years typical.
  • Experience in the nuclear power industry preferred.
  • Proven record supporting supply chain management with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects as well as specialized capital equipment.
  • Deep understanding of supply chain processes and best practices.
  • Ability to excel in leading in a highly matrixed development environment.
  • Ability to drive individual and organizational performance.
  • Must have the ability to effectively engaging with suppliers at the C Suite level with constructive confrontation and collaboration.
