About the Role
As Associate Director of Offline Asset Monetization, you will own and drive the strategy and revenue growth for Careem’s offline and OOH media business. This is a senior-level role requiring strategic leadership, deep sales expertise, and the ability to influence and engage C-suite decision-makers across top brands, agencies, and advertisers.

You will develop a compelling value proposition for Careem’s offline assets, build strong partnerships, and drive high-impact deals that unlock new revenue streams. Reporting directly to the Ads leadership, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Careem’s offline media strategy and positioning it as a premium offering in the market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to monetize Careem’s offline assets, including branded vehicles, in-ride ads, packaging media, and OOH placements at key partner locations.
  • C-Suite Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives at leading brands, media agencies, and advertisers, positioning Careem as a trusted strategic partner.
  • Revenue Ownership: Drive significant revenue growth by identifying, pitching, and closing high-value partnerships, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Value Proposition: Articulate and deliver a compelling narrative on Careem’s offline media value, leveraging audience insights, data, and creative storytelling to differentiate the offering.
  • Client Success: Develop and implement solutions that meet client objectives, ensuring seamless execution and post-campaign reporting to drive measurable ROI.
  • Market Expansion: Lead initiatives to scale Careem’s offline asset monetization strategy across multiple markets, identifying new opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal stakeholders, including operations, marketing, and analytics teams, to ensure the successful delivery and optimization of offline campaigns.
  • Performance Reporting: Develop detailed campaign analyses, presenting outcomes and opportunities to both internal leadership and clients.
  • Industry Thought Leadership: Stay ahead of market trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings in offline and OOH advertising, sharing insights to strengthen Careem’s positioning.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in offline media monetization, OOH sales, or related fields, with a proven track record of success in senior-level roles.
  • C-Suite Engagement: Demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders and C-level executives at brands, media agencies, and advertisers.
  • Strategic Vision: Ability to think strategically and creatively to develop new offline media products, pricing strategies, and growth opportunities.
  • Sales Leadership: Proven expertise in building and scaling sales pipelines, leading negotiations, and closing multi-million-dollar deals.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze and communicate campaign performance data, providing actionable insights and ROI measurement.
  • Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of OOH and physical advertising formats, including vehicle wraps, experiential media, and packaging opportunities.
  • Communication: Exceptional storytelling, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to inspire confidence in clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable navigating a fast-paced, evolving environment, with a proactive mindset and a strong sense of ownership.
  • Leadership: Experience mentoring and guiding teams to deliver high-performance results.
