Job description

Overview:

SageSure is seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Director, Product Growth & Advocacy to lead our product expansion initiatives across both Expanded Markets and Commercial lines. This senior leader will be responsible for driving product adoption, advocacy, and growth, working directly with leaders of the Expanded Markets and Commercial business units to set strategic direction and ensure alignment. The Senior Director will provide guidance to team members assigned to each business unit, ensuring seamless collaboration, alignment, and accountability for delivering SageSure’s growth objectives. This role requires a strategic thinker with executive presence and the ability to influence across teams while maintaining a high standard of execution.

What you’d be doing:

  • Executive Advocacy and Product Leadership:
    • Partner closely with leaders of Expanded Markets and Commercial business units, aligning on strategic goals and ensuring shared accountability for success.
    • Exhibit executive presence and establish trust as a senior advisor, building advocacy for SageSure’s products and positioning them as essential market solutions.
    • Lead by example in a proactive, hands-on manner, empowering assigned team members within each business unit to drive adoption and growth while fostering collaboration across units.
  • High-Level Strategic Planning and GTM Ownership:
    • Collaborate with Expanded Markets and Commercial leaders and GTM Leadership to develop and lead integrated strategic plans that advance product growth and market share.
    • Oversee team ownership of translating high-level strategies into executable GTM action plans, coordinating with business unit leaders to mobilize resources and ensure effective implementation.
    • Provide performance metrics and insights to executive stakeholders, using data to track effectiveness and proactively recommend refinements to maximize impact.
  • Senior-Level Field Engagement and Prioritization:
    • Direct participation and prioritization of high-value field activities across business units, including tradeshows, agency/partner visits, and strategic producer engagements.
    • Represent SageSure at an executive level, cultivating high-level relationships with partners and producers and advocating for expanded product presence and influence within key markets.
  • Market Insights and Producer Sentiment Analysis:
    • Work closely with business unit leaders to gain a thorough understanding of producer needs, market dynamics, and competitive positioning.
    • Partner with the CX team to execute research initiatives, facilitating insights from the field that inform product enhancements, GTM strategies, and market positioning.

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • 12+ years of senior leadership experience in GTM, sales, product growth, or market expansion roles, with a proven track record in strategic planning and operational execution, ideally within insurance or financial services.
  • Demonstrated experience leading strategic product advocacy efforts and collaborating with senior business unit leaders to drive shared accountability and measurable results.
  • Extensive expertise in executive-level event prioritization and field engagement, including high-stakes tradeshow and partner engagements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; advanced degree or MBA strongly preferred.
  • Strategic Vision and Leadership: A proactive leader with the ability to inspire and align business unit leaders and cross-functional teams around shared goals and a unified product vision.
  • Exceptional Relationship Building and Influence: With a strong executive presence, you build and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, fostering trust and alignment.
  • Tactical Excellence and Accountability: Skilled in transforming strategic GTM plans into strategic initiatives, you set high standards for execution and hold yourself and your team accountable to achieve them.
  • Agility and Resilience: You navigate complex challenges with resilience, pivoting strategies to stay ahead of market dynamics and maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Data-Driven and Insightful: Leveraging data-driven insights, you proactively recommend enhancements to strategies, products, and execution to ensure consistent growth and advocacy results. 

Highly preferred candidates also have:

  • 15+ years of leadership experience in GTM, sales, product growth, or market expansion
  • Experience working with Business Intelligence tools such as Domo, PowerBI and/or Tableau.
  • Salesforce Experience
  • Insurance Certification
  • Experience in E&S and small to medium commercial products.
