Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (MST)

Position Overview:

We are looking for a Bookkeeper to assist with reconciliations, categorizing, and reporting during tax season. Our full-time bookkeepers will be focused on tax preparation, so we need a reliable, self-starting individual to provide support. The ideal candidate will have good communication skills, be able to stay on task, and work efficiently without client interaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reconciliations: Assist with reconciling financial accounts and ensuring accuracy of all financial records.
• Categorization: Help with categorizing transactions and ensuring proper classification for accounting purposes.
• Reporting: Generate and maintain financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• General Support: Provide general support to current bookkeepers, focusing on administrative and data entry tasks.
• Software Use: Use QuickBooks Online, Slack, Asana, and G-Suite to maintain financial records and support the team.

Qualifications:

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is a must.
• Experience: Previous bookkeeping experience is preferred but not required.
• Attributes: Attention to detail, self-motivation, and strong organizational skills.
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with the team to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.
• Tax Knowledge: Some tax experience is a huge plus, but not mandatory.

Nice-to-Haves:

• QuickBooks experience.
• Tax preparation experience or familiarity with tax software.
