"As a Server System Engineer, you will be responsible for Private Cloud Architecture design and Engineering with Operation support. The Engineer will have a detailed understanding of operating systems such as Red Hat Linux, Hybrid cloud Technologies and DevOps component and its support tools and to be able to lead troubleshooting, configuration and administrative efforts on a day-to-day basis. What You’ll Contribute

  • Responsible for managing OS infrastructure with a good understanding knowledge on OS storage networking fundamentals, concepts, and components, including DNS, NFS, SCSI, LUN, LVMs be able to perform OS level presentation.
  • Installing and configuring Operating Systems, Application Software & Server Hardware, Automation, Patching, Monitoring, Storage & Migration.
  • Familiarity with modern container technology Ansible, GitHub, Docker
  • Good understanding knowledge on Networking technology.
  • Provide investigation, diagnostic testing and repair/resolution of system, hardware, software and infrastructure. 
  • Knowledge of industry security principles and server vulnerability remediation and hardening practices.
  • Solid understanding of the DNS process including standard DNS tools and L2, L3 networking protocols.
  • Knowledge of monitoring tool like Zabbix & Application Dynamics to monitor the health and performance of systems. 
  • Good knowledge of server/computer hardware and software Ex: Cisco UCS, Dell 
  • Good to have knowledge on security tools, such as Cyberark, cortex, qualys, Zscaler, WIZ.
  • Good to have understanding knowledge on Cloud Platform like AWS components on cloud watch, cloud trail, EC2, VPC, Security Groups, S3 bucket, etc.
  • Participate in 8x5 on call rotation and weekend on call, handle escalations and participate a weekly rotation of core business coverage.
  • Document existing and new infrastructure deployments using Run Book and architecture diagrams.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices. Collaborate with peers in Engineering and Operations teams, building bridges for one-to-one interaction and heightening your visibility to the organization.
  • Drive and Ability to learn new technologies and tools.
     

What We’re Seeking

  • Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science or other related engineering fields.
  • Strong technical experience with Redhat Linux.
  • Experience managing a highly virtualized environment and must have experience managing compute/storage/network stack.
  • Experience with Infoblox, RHIM, Satellite.
  • Excellent communication skills in working with technical and non-technical people and the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships among all levels of an organization, including your peers in Operations and Engineering. 
  • Design and implement automation strategies and programs for infrastructure-centric projects across the enterprise, with a focus on mainframe capabilities. Drive the organization towards an "Automation First" mindset.
  • Good communication & interpersonal skills with strong analytical, organizational and relationship management abilities.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills; ability to monitor multiple simultaneous project efforts.
  • High degree of initiative, self-motivation.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and working with tools like ServiceNow and Jira.
  • Professional experience and a high-level understanding of working with various operating systems and their implications.
  • Ability to work under pressure and critical situations and have a good analytical and problem-solving capability.
