Department Overview
The Motorola Solutions Customer Experiences and Events team is responsible for ideation, plan development and activation of proprietary and one-of-a-kind internal and external events.

The team consists of event and trade show marketing professionals who regularly collaborate across various functional teams (marketing, product groups, sales professionals, leadership and more) helping to bring strategy to life.

This team is part of the Marketing organization.

Job Description

This role is primarily remote working with the expectation of travel to event sites and offices when required.

Motorola Solutions is searching for an energetic, detail-oriented and driven Events Coordinator to support the EMEA Events Team in various tasks to assist in the delivery of successful events. You will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a busy team for future personal growth and development. 

This role will work with the sales and marketing teams, and third-party vendors. You should be comfortable in a hands-on, collaborative, and flexible environment, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting aggressive deadlines. The successful candidate will need a ‘can-do’ attitude. This position requires a flexible approach to travel, as necessary.

Core Functions

  • Adherence to corporate and departmental policies and procedures.
  • A willingness to understand and communicate the Motorola Solutions technology ecosystem and product portfolio.
  • Provide finance admin support to the EMEA Events Team with raising Purchase Orders, 3rd party payments by credit card and transactions reconciliation.
  • Support the Field Marketing and Events teams with Cvent registration site creation.
  • Create Visa Letters as required.
  • Merchandise/Giveaway research and ordering.
  • Events support material update, tracking and inventory with the agency.
  • Manage shell scheme/table top exhibitions (1 or 2/year).
  • Onsite event support, e.g. staffing of Trade Show Reception Desk, badge scanning of visitors.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements (travel, walking, lifting, long days/hours) while at onsite operation. 
  • Data entry of leads captured at trade shows.
  • Support in preparation of post-event reports and finalising all payments, ensure project budgets are tracked.
  • Update the external Events webpage 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or comparable education/experience preferred.
  • Event planning experience is not required, a desire to learn is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with an ability to communicate at all levels of an organization both internally and externally.
  • Resilience when under pressure.
  • Ability to travel (may include weekends) and execute onsite events.
  • Adept in picking up technology, for example, registration site software and email automation tools such as Eloqua and Cvent. 
  • Must pay high attention to detail, strong project management and time management skills.
  • Self-starter who quickly and proactively solves challenges with minimum guidance and direction.
  • Creative, innovative and resourceful with a hands-on “get-it-done” results orientation.
  • Ability to work successfully in an ever-changing environment with competing priorities.
  • Must be fluent in written and spoken English
