Junior Backend Developer (Java)

Overview: 

Welcome to the Platform Foundation team at LivePerson! We are a team of 5 engineers located across 3 countries in Europe (France, Bulgaria, Germany).  We are looking for a Junior Software Developer to join our team. You will work in a fast-paced environment on projects spanning different company areas, aiming to enhance and simplify how brands engage with their customers through messaging.

We are looking for a smart individual who wants to do more than just manage, but also shape and innovate!

In this role, you will have the opportunity to (your tasks): 

• Build the platform that serves the real time monitoring needs of our customers
• Design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for important systems and delivering high-availability and performance
• Design complex high performance backend services using Java
• Develop technical specifications and documentation
• Debug production issues and help maintain existing code

Here are some of the things you'll bring (requirements):

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Programming skills in Java
• Experience with Git, Jenkins, and other Development tools
• Experience debugging/testing applications
• Experience building RESTful microservices
• Familiar with basic Devops tasks for deploying applications in dev/test environments
• Experience working with public cloud platforms like AWS / GCP is a plus
• Experience in Kubernetes
• Willingness to participate in paid on-call duty, in alignment with our "You Build It, You Run It" philosophy.
• A strong sense of quality, personal responsibility, and a passion for development.
