The Role:

We’re looking for a Commercial Supply Specialist to join our team reporting to the Head of Commercial Supply.

You’ll be responsible for sourcing and maintaining commercial relationships with Destination Management Companies (DMCs) within Europe and Asia ensuring that we have the right DMCs in place to deliver our trips and secure supply for the business by focusing on sourcing, contracting and commercial negotiations.

This is a remote-flexible role - in practice this means that we meet in person as a team every 6-8 weeks, and the rest of the time you can work remotely in the country the role is hired in.

In line with our salary framework, the salary for this role is £35,000 - £39,000 depending on experience.

Where you will spend your time:

  • Owning and maintaining the relationships with the DMCs in Europe and Asia to support commercial negotiations with existing DMCs

  • Understanding how favourably Flash Pack is positioned commercially in your region, whilst making sure we meet compliance standards

  • Sourcing, evaluating and selecting new DMCs, positioning a partnership with Flash Pack to ensure we have a high performing and high quality supplier base in line with our roadmap

  • Negotiating commercial agreements and allocation allowances with DMCs to ensure we have favourable agreements that align with our commercial goals

  • Actioning the retendering or cross costing processes for existing DMCs to ensure ongoing quality and value

  • Collaborating and working closely with cross-functional teams such as Commercial Product and DMC Account Management to ensure the allocations processes are robust, accurate and effective, and the to monitor the performance of DMCs and the quality of commercial arrangements within your region

  • Leveraging and using data to make data driven decisions to improve DMC partnerships and commercial terms

  • Expanding your knowledge to support your partners and developing your relationships by attending key trade shows, events and networking opportunities

What we’d love to see from you:

  • Strong experience managing international supplier relationships, ensuring strong commercial delivery and negotiating solid profitable partnerships

  • Have strong negotiation and influencing skills with proven experience securing favourable contract and/or commercial terms

  • You’ve got an understanding of contract management - if you’ve got experience reviewing and negotiating contractual agreements this would be a bonus

  • You’ve got experience in sourcing new suppliers, evaluating their capabilities and managing a robust data-led selection process

  • You’ve got experience with suppliers outside of the UK and ideally in a remote environment - our DMCs are distributed all over the world and all our communication is done remotely. If you speak additional languages or have experience working with suppliers in Europe and Asia this would be a bonus, but not essential

  • You’re financially literate and proficient in data analysis - you can use analytical tools to review performance metrics, and then translate that data to make suggestions for performance improvement and decision making

  • You’re a pro at project management and can confidently oversee multiple projects delivering them on time within budget

Logistics 🛠️:

Our interviews take place on Google Meet and usually consist of the following stages:

  • Introductory chat with our talent team to see if there is a match (30 mins)

  • An interview with the hiring manager to hear more about your background and experience and to give you a deep dive into the role (45 mins)

  • A case study and presentation with the hiring manager and a key stakeholder to see how you’d solve a problem (60 mins)

  • A culture and ways of working interview to see your ways of working are a match with ours (30 mins)

Some roles may have extra stages, but we will let you know as soon as possible in the process if this is the case.
