Job description

This role has the ability to be a remote position.  Travel to the Home Office on a quarterly basis required for Management Team meetings.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Provide overall leadership and guidance to HR function; by overseeing, compensation, benefits and leave management. 
  • Administer employee healthcare benefits enrollment and management. Analyze company trends on benefits usage and cost for the organization.  Provide benefit recommendations to Senior Leadership.  
  • Administer 401(k) plan including but not limited participant education, internal audits, 5500 filing, vendor management and 401(k) committee participation.  
  • Oversee third party payroll vendor to ensure accurate and timely processing which includes validation and reconciliation of bi-weekly and commission payrolls. 
  • Calculate monthly incentives for underwriters, closers, and other home office employees as needed  
  • Manage merit increase process including set up within UKG, training to managers, Excel work for Senior Leadership and validation of increases .  Participate in compensation surveys and interpretation of data.  
  • Review commission structure of Employment Contracts for originating employees. Contracts are drafted and managed by Sr. Human Resources Generalist.  
  • Ability to answer questions related to Loan Originator compensation.  
  • Oversee yearend process, ensuring W-2 records are accurate and complete.  
  • Assist in payroll and benefit audit requests from internal and external auditors.  
  • Maintain training and SME around HRIS, Ultimate Software. 
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes as they relate to payroll. 
  • Maintain and expand knowledge and understanding of existing and proposed Federal and State laws/regulations affecting human resources management.  Identify trends that could impact organizational objectives and/or operational resources.  Interpret appropriate laws and policies and advise management and employees accordingly. 
  • Exercise good judgement and maintain confidentiality in maintaining critical and sensitive information, records, and reports. 
  • Manage and provide direction to subordinate staff in addition to supervision of direct report. 

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:   

  • Complete any additional duties assigned by management. 
  • Complete regulatory and compliance training, as required. 
  • Assist WMC employees and departments as needed. 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Human Resources Manager provides leadership and supervision to direct and indirect Human Resources reports.  

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field; and a minimum of five years’ experience in Human Resources Management is required.  HR certification and knowledge of Loan Originator compensation is preferred.  

COMPUTER SKILLS: Advanced knowledge of Excel is required. Experience working with HRIS, payroll systems and Microsoft Office Products is required. Experience working with CompenSafe is preferred.
