Job Description:

As HR Manager, you will act as the link between management and employees and be responsible for handling the day-to-day tasks within HR. Your main responsibility areas include payroll, social insurance, HR administration and recruitment support. You would work in a small HR team with opportunities to take on various tasks and responsibilities and broaden your HR knowledge and experience. In addition, you will be working in an exciting environment of communicating and working with global HR counterparts. You will be entitled to hybrid workstyle arrangements including flexible work time and work from home.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage the monthly payroll and social insurance vendor while acting as the primary point of contact for internal C&B inquiries from employees.
  • Manage HRIS data (Workday) to ensure that the inputs are correct and up to date.
  • Manage merit increase and incentive planning cycle efficiently.
  • Engage in HR administration processes spanning the entire employee life cycle.
  • Provide advice and/or support regarding employee inquires/ requests/ issues related, but not limited, to current HR regulations and policies, and processes.
  • Ensure efficient recruitment process working with internal stakeholders and recruitment agencies.
  • Get involved as a key member in HR related projects as needed.
  • Other tasks as instructed.

Skills, Knowledge and Experiences required:

  • 5+ years’ HR generalist experience, particularly in C&B and temp administration
  • Knowledge of Japan’s labor laws and regulations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (English & Japanese)
  • Strong analytical and solution delivery skills
  • Experience in building working relationships across internal/external stakeholders in Japan and overseas
  • Skills to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and to perform accurately and quickly.
  • Skills in using major Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word and SharePoint, etc.
  • Experience in Workday desired
