Finance Analyst (GMS FP&A)

POSITION SUMMARY

The Finance Analyst is responsible for preparing analysis on the Global Manufacturing monthly financial processes for designated sites and platforms across the Zoetis manufacturing business.  The Finance Analyst will work closely with FP&A leaders, finance platform leads, site controllers and the COE FP&A teams to provide support to the manufacturing business of Zoetis.  

The Finance Analyst role will focus on the following areas:

• Monthly FP&A: Provide FP&A support, operational data reviews, PPT building and analysis to the monthly financial results for the Global Manufacturing part of Zoetis
• Inventory Analysis: Review and analyze the monthly inventory numbers, preparing operational data to support discussions on trends and trajectory of inventory balances
• Manager: Support your manager to ensure they are informed with clear understanding and drivers of financial performance for their senior reporting responsibilities
• Projects: perform ad hoc support on designated projects on improving month end processes, standardizing work across global FP&A and assist the introduction of and drive usage in Power BI. This role will be active involvement in validation testing
• Center Function: Support center function with operational SAP raw data support
• Headcount: Operationally review headcount information while compiling global headcount data

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Working with the GMS sites and platforms to understand month end results and inventory balance trends. Investigate variances while providing explanations and understanding  the key drivers for the financial performance
• Supporting your manager to prepare standard management reporting packages, ad hoc reporting and key performance indicators (KPIs) each month end for the GMS business and finance management
• Project support primarily around improving standardization of monthly requirements, introduction of Power BI and improvement of stakeholder reporting and particularly doing system testing
• Routine communication with the site and platform finance leads relating to the month end process deadlines, issues and deliverables.
• Responsible for performing ad hoc analysis and special project support
• Work collaboratively with your finance peers, the COE Team, ZFS Shared Services Team and other finance team members to ensure best practice of knowledge sharing at forecast and budget times

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Undergraduate degree in Finance or Financial Accounting or Business Administration.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

• Microsoft excel and power point
• Previous experience with Power Bi and creation of dashboards is preferred
• Working knowledge of Anaplan, SAP, Hyperion Financial Management and/ or Essbase is a plus
