Job description

THE POSITION

The Bureau of Community Services is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as a Human Services Licensing Representative in the Southeast Region. The work you accomplish in this position will help us continue to oversee community-based intellectual disability and autism programs in the Commonwealth. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Human Services Licensing Representative, you will be responsible for the inspection, investigation, licensure, and monitoring of community service providers to ensure that they are following regulatory standards, legal requirements, and established rules and regulations. Your duties will include conducting inspections of community service providers and programs, preparing licensing inspection summaries, and reviewing plans of correction. In this position, you will recommend approval, renewal, or revocation of licensure of providers based on the results of inspections. You can expect to conduct investigations of providers when complaints are received, attend appeal hearings, and provide testimony when licenses have been denied or revoked due to inspections and investigations. Additionally, you will provide guidance and technical assistance to providers, county programs, and the public by explaining regulations and licensure requirements governing programs.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • This is a home headquartered position which will require you to be headquartered at your home and travel to worksites in in the Southeast Region (including Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties) to complete your work duties. In order to be home headquartered, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

Required Experience, Training & Eligibility

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of professional experience gathering and analyzing information in a social service or law enforcement program, and a bachelor’s degree;or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
