Purpose of the post: To assess, consolidate and
further develop the 2 dossiers – Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) &
Environment for MSF South Asia. In consultation with the Director of Strategy
and Planning, MSF SA to build on work undertaken so far in both dossiers and design
and craft a roadmap ahead .
The
core objectives -
§ § Develop
a strategy to further build, enhance and design the 2 dossiers to integrate the
ambitions in our day-to-day working:DEI & Environment
§ Assess
comprehensively the work undertaken in both dossiers and provide concrete
blueprint of way ahead
§ In
consultation with the Director-Strategy & Planning, construct the 2026-2031
strategic plan components of DEI & Environment , guiding development of
appropriate objectives and key results.
§ Ensure
delivery of project objectives within scheduled time, scope and in line with
defined quality standards.
Deliverables:
1. Develop plan of action - To be presented
to Management Team on integrating DEI/environment ambitions in ways of working
2. Dissemination on Paper on Caste - Implement the Engagement Strategy developed for the Paper on Caste System in
the Sub-continent. Undertake workshops with external experts on the Paper increasingly
bring the discussion around caste and discrimination into the internal regional
discussions at MSF.
3. Enhancing DEI
Working Committee’s Role - Undertake Capacity building of MSF SA DEI
Working Group’s role and activities
4. Contribution
to Strategic Plan 2026-2031 – Analyse comprehensively and
critically the work undertaken so far on both DEI & Environment and provide
concrete inputs in developing a vision of DEI & Environment in the new SP.
5. Dossier
on Climate - Assess and build a sustainable dossier
for the region through inter-departmental collaborations (e.g. ICT) on climate,
environment, and health. Based on 2023 Carbon Foot print Report, establish a sustainable carbon footprint
reduction roadmap, managing e-waste, and pursuing other transversal
initiatives.

Requirements
Education:
· Degree in
Social Sciences or equivalent
Experience:
§ 3+ years of active experience working as a project or program manager
managing large, complex projects programmes throughout the entire project life
cycle.
§ Ability to
think innovatively and laterally, and demonstrated experience
in the delivery of high-quality project reports and complex research, analysis
and drafting in relation to vision development and evaluation.
§ Experience
in leading and participating in multi-disciplinary policy groups and engaging
diverse stakeholders in research and policy work.
Competencies:
§ Proven
experience and knowledge in DEI and Environment
§ Have
a proven track record in providing strategic guidance, governance and managing
projects across organisations.
§ Ability
to take technical activities and shape them into strategic intentions,
connecting topics from a systems/holistic perspective and highlighting inter-
and co-dependencies.
§ Excellent
attention to detail and the ability to produce clear and concise written
documents.
§ Proficient
in development of objectives and measures at the strategic organizational
level.
§ Excellent
communication and negotiation skills.

· Consultancy fee: LKR 765,792/- to LKR 887,763/- per
month (final fee will depend on the scaling of the CV as per MSF criteria)
