What you'll doing:

Lead all operations related to the accounting department including month-end close, general ledger activity, balance sheet reconciliation, daily settlement reporting, treasury, and payables

Manage and execute the monthly financial close process including preparation and delivery of financial reporting and analysis to internal and external stakeholders

Possess thorough working knowledge of US GAAP, technical accounting standards, and internal controls

Mentor and review accounting deliverables of junior team members

Partner closely with the Finance team by providing key insights and visibility into financial results

Continuously evaluate areas for process improvement and automation

Proven capability to streamline processes and build out accounting processes for new products

Lead annual audit and tax filings to completion

Other duties and ad hoc projects within the scope of responsibilities, including state financials and quarterly investor financials preparation

What you'll bring:

Minimum of 7 years experience in the corporate accounting department in public companies, Big 4 accounting firms, or high-growth companies

Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting; CPA required

Prior experience with fair value accounting and secured debt facilities

Experience with NetSuite

Strong Excel skills

Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills and comfort with making data-driven decisions

Comfortable with ambiguity and possess a ‘figure it out & get it done’ mentality

Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency
