Join Our Team:
Our growing Finance and Accounting Team is looking for another Staff Accountant I or II to assist in maintaining financial records, documenting supporting schedules, preparing reports, harvesting and analyzing data and reconciling account balances. This position will assist the Controller and Accounting Manager with monthly and annual close process, including posting journal entries and reconciling bank statements, balance sheet, inventory, lease, fixed assets, and expense accounts. This individual will also be responsible for performing daily accounting functions, including sales order review, daily/monthly invoicing to clients, client reconciliations, credit memo application, cash application, and AP support.
This is a hybrid position with some work from home days and some in office days - for candidates near Charlotte, NC.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or Accounting preferred
- At least 1+ years of experience in an accounting role required, specifically in daily/monthly invoicing or billing
- Strong critical thinking, fast learner, reasoning and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work as part of a team and own certain accounting functions to demonstrate growth and development
- Demonstrated proficiency in NetSuite or similar ERP
- Familiarity with accounting concepts, processes, and procedures
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Entering key data of financial transactions in appropriate database or platform
- Preparing and reviewing accounts payable and disbursements
- Preparing billings and invoices and managing accounts receivable, including collections efforts
- Preparing bank deposits, general ledger postings, and statements
- Assisting with expense reimbursement process
- Accounting for leases, fixed assets and inventory
- Analyzing company financial data and make recommendations for improving efficiency
- Assisting with month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes
- Maintaining vendor, customer and other files
- Answering accounting and financial questions by interpreting data
- Assist with special projects and performing other duties as required
Compensation and Benefits:
- $55,000 - $65,000 salary (dependent upon education and experience)
